Search & command palette#

The fastest way around Hinata isn't the mouse — it's ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux). One keystroke opens a liquid-glass command palette that searches everything and runs quick actions, from any screen, without losing your place.

Search everything#

Start typing and the palette searches across your workspace in real time:

  • Issues — by key (MOB-42) or by words in the title.
  • Projects — jump straight to a board or backlog.
  • Knowledge-base articles — find that runbook in a second.
  • People — open a teammate's profile.

Results are ranked so the best match is already selected — press Enter to go. Everything the palette surfaces respects your project access; you can only find what you're allowed to see.

Keys are the fastest jump

If you know the issue key, just type it. INF-7 + Enter lands you on the issue — quicker than any amount of clicking through boards.

Quick actions & triggers#

The palette is a command bar, not just a search box. Alongside results it offers actions — create an issue, switch project, change theme, jump to settings — so common tasks are a couple of keystrokes away.

Recents#

The palette remembers where you've been. Open it with an empty query and it shows your recent issues and destinations, so bouncing between the two things you're working on is instant.

Anywhere, any device#

  • Keyboard⌘K / Ctrl+K to open, arrow keys to move, Enter to go, Esc to close.
  • Mobile — the palette adapts into a responsive sheet, so the same fast search is a tap away on your phone.

It's the same palette everywhere

Whether you're on the dashboard, deep in an issue or reading an article, ⌘K behaves identically — a single, predictable way to get anywhere in Hinata.
